Tom Nguyen
A designer based out of New York, who loves animals, motorcycles and surf.
I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I went to college at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY, and got a bachelor’s in Graphic Design. There I learned print and web design. And this was during the time when Macromedia Flash websites was the sh$%t! I got my first job at Grey Interactive, worked on a bunch of MARS (M&M’s, Starburst etc) banner ads, emails, websites etc. And since then, I’ve been in the design industry since 2005! (man I feel old 😛 ).
What do I do outside of design work? Well, I love to be active and outdoors. I love to make things and build things, especially things that are two-wheeled (motorcycles/bicycles). Surfing is something I love to do during the summer. I take part in social activism whenever/wherever I can. I also have a very soft spot for animals!
